i believe that "I WILL SURVIVE!!!"

Next week will be my third week in taking calls. I was glad I was able to pass my product training and another mock call, this time with our client. I have so much positive things to say about my account, well for now. I am proud to say it's not a very stressful account, unlike an account offered to me (credit card). I can feel the camaraderie within the team, ready to help out anyone who has a question on a product (even if they are handling a call, hehe). And not to mention a Sat-Sun rest day, and a much better pay!!

At first I was in doubt if I'll be able to survive my first week. But I did! I don't think I made the wrong choice in resigning from my previous job (since ex-colleagues were retrenched) and in not accepting a non-call center job. I believe it's the right career move...

Let's just see what'll happen after six month. By the way, I received my scorecard and I'm proud that I passed all, from AHT to QA!! Yipeyy!!!

congratulations, you all passed!!!

whew.... finally after almost two-week training it's now the D-Day (as our trainer called it), the dreaded day. time for the mock call and written examination! i dunno but i was so confident of passing both, while some of my co-trainees got nervous and starting making notes for the spiel! for that was a no-no... just made some notes.

my customer was a "Hollywood actress" with the accent and all who was having problems with her internet connection. it was fun actually. i wasn't that nervous as i was expecting. learned to take deep breathes.. after we were all done, were given our grades and we all passed! received a high mark myself!! yahooo!!!! just got dinged with the use of a jargon!! errr... the written was easy for all of us....

after the class, we decided to celebrate and we went to this karaoke bar in taft... we had so much fun singing, eating and drinking (maybe smoking haha)... too bad we have to finish our celebration early..

great experience, met new friends, and most important is that we all had some fun!!

Mock Call Experience

last day of core skills training. only 11 in the class (4 guys,7 gals). immediately clicked and became friends. a fun two-week training. learned a lot. lots of experiences from mini-role play bloopers, elevator problems, lunch and food sharing, etc.

mock call and written examination tomorrow. got a high rating during a pre-mock call today. now am more confident and have positive mindset that i'll do great tomorrow (and will my other co-trainees).

decided to stick with the company and not accept the offer of another company (i applied for the internet marketing specialist position) - career-wise....

just lucky i guess

i had been receiving job offers for the past few days..

first i was lucky to be considered as the researcher for a home-based company in Paco. The pay is great (as advertised) but unfortunately it's only for 6 months and i'm not sure if they'll be paying government tax, etc..... offer declined..

today i received a call (the false-job-ads company) and was shocked to be informed that i'll be starting with my training on monday.. what the heck, i will start with my training without being offered the job and wasn't even told that i passed the final interview?! what's with that!

in the end, i decided to work for the "i am motivated" company....

promises..promises

another week passed, and there goes the another "next week" promise!!! we are just pissed off!! ive been hearing your next -week promises for a month now, but nothing is happening! i still read a zero balance everytime i check my account.. pay us!! we were promised early this week, i dont want to expect anything, but we really need the cash! and if i receive it this week, id immediately tender my resignation..

false job advertising

i was happy to receive another interview invitation for a position (email/chat support agent) i applied online. a colleague of mine also received an email, so we talked and decided to meet. the company, which was actually an agency, didn't bother us at all. at least, if we are lucky, we will be working in a non-voice account.

the initial interview went well. we were endorsed to a company located in buendia for a technical support account, as the interviewer told us, a chat account! arriving at the office, we were shocked to see lots of applicants! i waited for almost 2 hours for my, yet another, initial interview.. yeah what a hiring process! after that i have to wait again for the result then i took the exam, wait for the result, and another interview. whew... more than half of my 5 hours was spent waiting!!

what pissed me off was that i was only informed that there were no openings for their email/chat support account, all openings were for voice account, during my final interview! can you believe that! wtf!!!

miscommunication between the agency and company, or just pure false advertisement?

still no news about our december salary and part of our 13th month! and right now am running out money and running out of excuses to people whom i owe money.. this-week promises coming true? we hope so!

application update: i had a call a few hours ago, inviting me for an interview and exam tomorrow. have been receiving calls and emails for the past few weeks! guess staying online for the whole shift looking for a job paid off... i just hope theyd give me an offer i cant refuse!!

a new career in the new year?!?

i was so frustrated with the company i am presently working that i decided to just quit as soon as i get another job. i only had two interviews (will have another one this thursday) and was lucky enough to be having a job offer on wednesday. this'll be my first suicide attempt (in this industry). i despise the job, but i don't have any other options.
